Zella's is one of the best NY style pizzas in the east valley. My wife is from beachfront NJ and I am from NY, and we agree that it is as close as we have come to a NY slice so far. The price for a slice is reasonable and the atmosphere is laid back. If you want to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner - with fairly authentic NY pizza, this may be the place for you!
Wow. Just found this place and what a can't find. I ordered the beef and mushroom sandwich. Short staffed and took a bit but OMG totally worth the wait. Delicious from the first bite to the last.
The Zella's Famous Philly was great. I took it home and it stayed warm after 10 minutes of drive time. I will definitely come back!
First time here and wasn't disappointed. The wife and I had a craving for cheese steaks and did a search. We then decided to get two different sandwiches since it was our first time here. I got the classic Philly and really enjoyed it. Loved the flavor of the grilled onions and there was something in it that had a nice subtle heat that I liked. My only complaint is I wish there was a bit more cheese on it. The wife got the pizza sub and she raved about it. I got a couple of bites when she couldn't finish it and I enjoyed every bite. It reminded me more of a panini then a sub but I liked it that way. We also got an order of the Z stix and this is a must get. You can't have just one bite. It's addicting. The spices they have on it have a nice Cajun flavor and there was something that reminded me of buffalo sauce. Looking forward to going back and trying the pizza.
Darn good lunch, the bread for the subs is really good, kind of like a ciabatta bun. Wings tasted very good and the sauce was tasty. Would return here for sure to eat.
First time ordering through DoorDash. We decided to try Zella's after seeing a review from a fellow yelper. I ordered the Famous Philly for my husband, I got the Italian and I also ordered garlic fries to share. My husband loved his philly and it was a huge portion. My Italian sandwich was so good, enough for two meals. The bread was delicious! The only disappointment was the garlic fries. The flavor was great but it was soggy. They may want to rethink the container, maybe something that has vents? Besides the fries, our food came quick and I was able to track it through DoorDash and even got text messages to update me. Our dasher was friendly and food was here before expected time. We'll definitely order again!!
